Apply to test Skerry
The first group is selected for workflow and device coverage rather than first-come-first-served installs. You need iOS or iPadOS 17+, an authorized SSH server, and about 20 minutes for a focused run.
Use a non-critical test environment. Applying does not
require—and Skerry will never ask you to submit—SSH credentials, private
keys, hostnames, IP addresses, fingerprints, or terminal content.
What the application asks
- email address and optional preferred name or social handle;
- iPhone/iPad and iOS/iPadOS version;
- software or hardware keyboard;
- tmux, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or plain-shell workflow;
- password, key, or Tailscale authentication category—never the credential itself;
- networks available for testing and one sentence about the workflow you can exercise; and
- consent to the beta invitation and one follow-up.
Selection and retention
Applications are used only to balance the beta across devices and workflows. Rejected applications are deleted within 90 days after the relevant cohort closes unless you separately agree to remain on a future waitlist.
